PEEK™ (polyetheretherketon)
PEEK is an organic polymer based thermoplastic material with excellent mechanical properties and chemical resistance even at high temperatures. Thanks to these properties, PEEK can be used for hi-tech engineering applications.
Physical Properties:
| Density | 1320 kg/m3 |
| Elastic Modulus | 3700 MPa |
| Tensile strength | 92 MPa |
| Elongation at break | 50 % |
| Melting temperature | 343 °C |
| Thermal conductivity | 0,25 W/ m.K |
| Water absorption (24hours/ASTM D 570) | 0,1 % |
Powder or solvent based PEEK coatings have outstanding resistance to scratching/ wear high tensile strength and durability and can operate under high temperatures up to 280 °C. Furthermore, they are resistant to radiation and have very good electrical insulation properties. They are high purity and low fiction/ dry lubrication materials.
Typical applications:
Automotive - pistons, gaskets, back plates, bearings, transmissions and brake systems, air conditioning, control systems components, sensors, mixers, reactors, forms, printing equipment.

Food – cooking and baking utensils, mills, belts, probes, flow meters

Off shore – transportation equipment, regulation members, absorption components
