When parts have complex shapes or hard-to-reach areas, spraying often doesn’t work well. In these cases, dip coating is a better option. The part is dipped into a coating solution, and when it’s taken out, a thin liquid layer stays on its surface. The part is then dried or cured.

Dip coating is very cost-efficient with wet coatings because there’s little material waste compared to spraying. This method is best when the surface’s function matters more than its appearance, as the coating thickness can vary more than with other methods.
