PTFE coatings

Technicoat has 25 years of specialized experience using PTFE in the automotive industry.

Fluoroplastics, commonly known as Teflon, are used in the majority of coatings for a variety of materials. Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) belongs to fluorinated polymers and has excellent sliding and anticorrosive properties and is non-stick, water-, heat- and chemical resistant. Thanks to these characteristics, PTFE is often applied to kitchenware, but is also used in the automotive industry where fittings need to work in a highly corrosive, heat-intensive environment.
